D League Statistical Award Winners
The BVDL today announced the Statistical Award Winners for 2012, with Dandenong Rangers' Jacinta Vandenberg, Georgi Lovelace and Amanda Meinking topping various lists.
Despite sitting out mid way through the season due to injury, Jacinta Vandenberg won her second consecutive Leading Rebounder title with an average of 11.3rpg. Vandenberg recorded 10+ rebounds on 10 occassions, with a season best 20 rebounds on June 17 against Ballarat.
Rangers rookie centre Amanda Meinking led the league in Field Goal Percentage, shooting the ball at an impressive 64.4% (38/59) in her first season of senior basketball.
Georgi Lovelace has been a consistent threat for the Rangers all season, winning the Golden Hands Award with an average of 2.33 per game. The Golden Hands Award is determined by adding assists and steal, then subtracting the turnovers to give a total and then averaged per game.
Dandenong featured well across a number of statistical categories in the women's competition;

The Dandenong Rangers also featured heavily in the men's statistical categories, highlighting the good form that has seen the Rangers play finals basketball in 2012.
